Splurge-Worthy Colorado Wellness Getaways

Splurge-Worthy Colorado Wellness Getaways

After a few years spent working from home, changing safety protocols and changing lifestyles, we’ve seen the return of wellness getaways. With all of the money you have saved by staying home the past few years, you can finally splurge on your own wellness getaway. The team here at Corken + Company has a list of the best wellness getaways in Colorado.

Garden of the Gods Resort & Club

Garden of the Gods Resort & Club’s medical spa, Strata Wellness, now has annual Wellness Concierge Medical Memberships for guests who want health care that’s tailored specifically to them. The spa’s team of physicians, fitness and nutrition coaches, physical therapists, and energy healers are here to help you in improving heart health or strengthening immunity. They offer various classes and treatments, from $3,000 to $15,000 annually.

Eleven Life

Eleven Experience, located in Crested Butte, is known for its jaw-dropping adventure properties. Now, Eleven Life, is taking guests’ mental and physical health to the top. At its Taylor River Lodge in Gunnison National Forest, you might start your day with a chef-prepared oatmeal bowl then attend a class to prep you for the day’s guided activity, such as breathwork before rock climbing. You can also enjoy a massage, nutrition education, and a meditation session before retiring your luxurious cabin. This winter’s rates start at $900 per night for a single-room cabin (double occupancy) and $11,600 per night for the entire property, which can accommodate up to 24 guests.

Float & Flow

Mary Susan Stults started offering yoga sessions on stand-up paddleboards through her company Float & Flow in 2014. She left Colorado and moved to Hawaii four years ago but regularly returns to host a variety of wellness classes and retreats. In 2022, these include a five-day stay-and-play package in Ouray in mid-August; attendees can do SUP yoga in nearby Telluride, hike, and take art workshops. Starting at $1,499 per person (includes lodging and some meals).

IRIS

IRIS just rebranded to be more welcoming to trans and nonbinary adventurers. Its courses—held across Colorado and Moab, Utah—are led by experienced guides who identify as women or nonbinary. During their clinics in Ouray’s famed ice park that are open all, small group to instructor ratios ensure you’ll have improved technique. Starting at $550 per person for a two-day clinic (meals and lodging not included)

Shambala Mountain Center

Just outside of of Fort Collins, Shambhala Mountain Center reopened this past July after closing for fire damage.  Luckily, the 50-plus-year-old haven’s Buddhist structure—the Great Stupa of Dharmakaya—was spared. You can hike to the structure between guided meditations, yoga classes and communal meals. They also offer recurring Retreat & Renewal weekends. It is $100 plus lodging; nightly rates include three meals and start at $90 for a shared tent or dorm room.
